Tekumbé has played in festivals all over the midwest, including concerts opening for grammy award winning artists such as La Mafia, Fulanito, and Jorge Celedón.  Special events have included half-time shows at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, playing along side Colombian group Bonka, and participating in the Houston Colombian Festival along with bands like Son de Cali, Orgullo Vallenato, and Jimmy Saa among others.
